The Coopers Rock Foundation
Supports state approved projects at Coopers Rock State Forest, such as trail work, and heightens community awareness of the forest and its issues.

Downstream Alliance
This group is mostly inactive now, but they still distribute poster sized, colored-coded, stream quality maps of Preston and Monongalia Counties that resulted from monitoring projects conducted between 1994 - 2000. Friends of Blackwater
Educates the public on the environmental threats currently besetting the Canyon. Works to protect West Virginia's scenic crown jewel from logging and condominium development.

Friends of Deckers Creek
Works to improve the natural qualities of, increase public concern for, and promote the enjoyment of the Deckers Creek watershed.

Friends of the Cheat
Works to restore, preserve, and promote the outstanding natural qualities of the Cheat River watershed.

Mon River Trails Conservancy
Works to develop and maintain the Mon River and Deckers Creek Trails for conservation and for pedestrian and cyclist use.

Mon Valley Clean Air Coalition

Works to educate the public about air quality issues, and to advocate for policies that improve air quality in Monongalia County and the surrounding region.

Mon Valley Green Space Coalition
An umbrellaÂ group for the Mon Valley's environmental and recreation organizations.

Connecting people, parks, neighborhoods, historic sites, and natural areas.

Mountaineer Audubon Society
Works to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.

Positive Spin
Promoting transportation for a more livable Morgantown.

West Virginia Botanic Garden
Works to develop, maintain, and preserve the West Virginia Botanic Garden and to enhance the quality of life through public enjoyment and education involving inspirational landscapes.

West Virginia Cave Conservancy
Works with the WVDNR and other organizations to protect and preserve caves in the area.

West Virginia Highlands Conservancy
Working since 1967 to promote and encourage the conservation and appreciation of the natural resources of West Virginia and the Nation, especially the Highlands Region of West Virginia.

West Virginia Interfaith Global Climate Change Campaign
Works to educate congregations, communities, and elected officials about global climate change and the importance of the faith community in addressing its impact on all creation.

West Virginia Sierra Club
